Youth Services

Services Provided

An old saying “How you bend the twig is how the tree goes” reflects the mentoring and education required for youth on their journey to adulthood. Mission Community Services Society team of Youth Workers offer important intervention that can make a world of difference. Youths who have more tools in their toolbox can make better life choices. A range of support is available for youth ages 13 to 24.

The MCSS Youth Workers engage youth through a positive, asset-based view of their development, treating all youth as having strengths and potential. MCSS Youth Services feature outreach for sexually exploited and drug-addicted youth, transitional housing support, conflict management, youth justice consultation, and community hours support.

Also features: Assistance in improving the quality of life through better self-management, social and communication skills; life-skills development through individual and group work; parent-teen mediation.

We work primarily with the Ministry of Children and Family Development to assist youth in crisis or transition. We accept community referrals on a case-by-case basis where our program has the capacity.
